WSBT-TV, the CBS affiliate in South Bend, Indiana, has a long and distinguished history in American broadcasting. On the air since 1952, WSBT is the nation’s oldest continuously-running UHF station, the first station in Indiana to transmit a color picture, the first in the market to produce morning and noon news programs and the first to take its news “on the road” with live, remote telecasts. In November 2008 WSBT-TV became the South Bend market’s first television station to produce and broadcast its local news programming in high definition (HD).

WSBT-TV’s web site, wsbt.com, has been online since the mid 90s. Originally an extension of the station’s television presence, wsbt.com has emerged as a market leader in news, information and entertainment in its own right, with the day’s top stories, a deep and varied weather section and much more.
